Peter Considine – Secretary Peter J Considine FHEA, MCMI

Peter is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at Staffordshire University Business School and is both active and very enthusiastic in the use of simulations in his teaching of strategic and international strategic management.  His contribution to the student learning experience though simulation based learning, led to him being awarded a Learning and Teaching Fellowship in 2007 and a further Fellowship in 2009 to develop simulations in other fields of business education.  He is currently researching for his PhD, relationships between simulations and the  development of decision making competences in complex environments (novice to expert transitions).

Jeremy Hall TreasurerJeremy J. S. B. Hall, Churchill Fellow, FRSA

Jeremy is a full time designer and provider of computer business simulations for company training. Since 1970 he has developed more than sixty simulations covering virtually every industry and business training need. His work has been recognised with a Churchill Fellowship, a Fellowship of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA) and the World of Learning “Outstanding Contribution to the Training Industry).
Jeremy Hall

Jeremy is passionately interested in improving business simulations software architectures, simulation structures and usage process. This work led to a London Innovation Award and several best paper awards from the US’s Association for Business Simulation and Experiential Learning. Besides many papers and conference presentations, Jeremy’s Churchill Fellowship study lead to his latest book “SIMULATION: Virtual Business Experience” and he is currently working on a book about the art, science and craft of business simulation design.

Kim Tan

Dr. Kim Hua Tan is an Associate Professor in Operations Management at Nottingham University Business School.  Prior to this, he was a researcher and teaching assistant at Centre for Strategy and Performance, University of Cambridge.  Dr. Tan spent many years in industry, holding various executive positions before joining academia in 1999.  Dr. Tan has developed many classroom teaching simulation games in Lean Management, and Supply Chain Management.


David Upton

David is a director of Stirling Reid Limited, a crisis management consultancy, and uses simulations to train major companies how to respond to emergencies. In 2009 he won a Technology Strategy Board award for developing software to make this process simpler and better. He also runs a blog about simulation.
